Providence children will get an opportunity to sail on Narragansett Bay, tee off at a golf course, get basketball lessons from Providence College Men's Basketball Head Coach Ed Cooley and team, or hit a home run this summer. The City of Providence is pleased to announce that the Providence Parks & Recreation Summer Sports Camp gets underway on July 11th and runs until August 19th at several locations throughout Providence.
"There is no better time than summer to encourage our kids to keep active, stay healthy and spend some time outdoors soaking up the sun," said Mayor Angel Taveras. "Thanks to our partners, the City is thrilled to be able to offer these fun and free activities to Providence youth this summer."
