Community Development
Strong, vibrant neighborhoods are the foundation of great cities. Through funding provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the City works with local organizations across the city to improve the quality of life for city residents.

The Division of Community Development is responsible for the administration of the US Department of Housing Urban Development (HUD) Community Planning and Development Programs, including:

• Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
• HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME)
• Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG)
• Housing for Persons with Aids (HOPWA)
• Lead Hazard Control & Reduction Program
