Dora Street Felony Assault/Suicide

PROVIDENCE, RI- On April 24 at approximately 11:19pm Providence Police responded to 47 Dora Street for a report of a disturbance. When police arrived on scene they heard arguing, immediately followed by gun shots, coming from the 2nd floor apartment. Within seconds a female victim, later identified as Jacqueline Aquil, age 30 of the above address, emerged from the house and stated to police, "he just shot me and he is upstairs with a gun." When police entered the apartment they discovered Amos Labrador, age 27 also of the above address, who had suffered an apparent self inflicted gunshot wound to the head and was deceased. The female victim was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
