Excellent Police Work- Gun Arrest

On April 16, 2011 at 10:00am Detectives Potter and Poplaski observed a hand to hand drug deal in the McDonalds parking lot on Branch Avenue. Detectives Perez, Zincone, and Sergeant Sion were notified and police approached the subjects. The dealer, Shelton Smalls and the buyer, Peter Fanning, were apprehended without incident. Smalls sold crack cocaine and heroin to Fanning.

This investigation led to 119 Burns Street 2ND floor where Detectives obtained a consent to search from Smalls. Detectives seized approximately an ounce of crack cocaine/heroin/pills, scale, paperwork and approximately $2,100.00 in US currency. Detectives also seized two firearms. A 357 caliber revolver and a 22 caliber semi-automatic pistol which came back actively stolen from Georgia. Smalls was held and charged with numerous narcotic and firearm charges.
