Impact Providence - Saturday, September 24, 2011

Impact Providence, organized by the 7th Day Adventist Church at 131 Elmwood Ave will be having an all day event at Roger Williams Park with a march down Broad Street at 2pm.

The purpose of the March is to recruit the youth in the area to help in Community Activism such as a scheduled cleanup of 2-3 lots in the West Elmwood and Southside area on Sunday, September 25th. On Saturday night at 7pm there will be a Worship Music concert by singer Jaci Velasquez.

In coordination with Councilman Sanchez, the organization is Recognizing a Police officer and a fireman at 10am, to include Patrolman Alex Gonzalez from the PPD for his continued impact and assistance in the Spanish Community. Patrolman Alex Gonzalez has been instrumental in reaching out to the Spanish Community in the West Elmwood area and assists them with quality of life and police matters and they wanted to show their appreciation.
