Providence Police apprehend five individuals in connection to Colfax Street Homicide

Providence, RI- On February 2, 2014 at approximately 2052 hours Providence Police were dispatched to 145 Colfax Street for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival police observed the victim lying on the floor bleeding from the abdomen. The victim was identified as George Holland II, age 17 of Providence. He was transported to RI Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

After a tireless investigation by Providence Police Detectives, five individuals have been arrested and charged over this past weekend in connection to this homicide.

Ashner Alexis, age 18 with no permanent address, was charged with one count of First Degree Murder and one count of Conspiracy to Commit Murder

Alain Bedame, age 18 of Pawtucket, was charged with one count of First Degree Murder and one count of Conspiracy to Commit Murder

Limamou Ndoye, age 19 of Providence, was charged with one count of First Degree Murder and one count of Conspiracy to Commit Murder

Anthony Moore, age 21 of Woonsocket, was charged with one count of First Degree Murder and one count of Conspiracy to Commit Murder

A juvenile subject was also charged with one count of First Degree Murder and one count of Conspiracy to Commit Murder. He is currently being detained at the RI Training School and will appear in family court on Friday, February 14 to answer to these charges.

All of the adult subjects appeared in 6th District Court this afternoon and are being held without bail.

This was outstanding police work by the members of the Providence Police Department Investigative Division, under the leadership of Major David Lapatin. The officers who have worked diligently since the onset of this case are Det. Captain Michael E. Correia, Det. Lieutenant Michael Figueiredo, Det. Sergeant William Dwyer, and Detectives Daniel O'Connell and Kenneth Court.
