West Broadway Neighborhood Association - West Side Neighborhood Spring Clean Up & Tree Planting Saturday, April 16

(Extreme weather date for Clean Up: Sunday, April 17. For Tree Planting: Saturday, April 30.)

8:00 a.m. Until 9 a.m., recycle your unwanted TVs, computers, printers, and other electronics at Dexter Training Ground (the park near the Armory).

8:30 a.m. Meet at Dexter Training Ground for coffee and to pick up supplies.

9:00 a.m. The Clean Up begins! Tree planters proceed to the corner of Chapin and Parade for a planting demonstration. (You must attend if you want to plant trees to make sure we do it correctly!)

12:30 p.m. Lunch is on us at the WBNA headquarters (1560 Westminster).

Clean uppers: If you can't attend but want to help, please sweep any debris onto the street for the street sweepers to pick up. Residents of Messer and Sycamore Streets, please sweep debris from behind the planter boxes into the street.

Tree planters: Please wear sturdy footwear, and bring gloves and a shovel. We'll break into groups to plant trees. Each group needs a pair of pruners, scissors to cut twine, a small saw, and a broom. Mark your tools--they all look alike!
