Steere Avenue Homicide
PROVIDENCE, RI- On May 20 at approximately 10:08pm Providence Police responded to Steere Avenue for a report of a person shot. When police arrived they observed the victim, Tyler J. Marchand, age 19 of Providence, on the ground in front of 14 Steere Avenue suffering from a gunshot wound to the back. He was transported by Providence Fire Department Rescue to Rhode Island Hospital where he was pronounced dead. This is the fifth homicide in Providence this year.
The investigation is ongoing.
