Business Operations Center (BOC)
Resilience. The ability to adapt to changing conditions and withstand and rapidly recover from disruption due to emergencies.
In the capital City of Providence, it is important that businesses prepare for emergencies. Loss of business due to a local disaster affects economies well outside the City's political boundaries.
While many Providence small business owners look to us for planning and preparedness help, PEMA would like to offer these free resources to assist businesses of all sizes prepare for and recover from emergencies thereby becoming more resilient.

NOTE: The new Business Operations Center (BOC) concept is a work in progress. Our goal is to leverage our recently underway EOC Expansion construction project, scheduled to be complete in July 2013, with the goal of not only having a physical home for the BOC, but more importantly a new framework for forming alliances with the Providence business community. Stay tuned for new updates.
