Celebrating the Celebrity Club
Share memories of this famous venue that hosted such giants as Duke Ellington, Sammy Davis, Jr. and Nat King Cole. In the 1950s it was a musical oasis in a segregated society where blacks and whites could enjoy some of the best music on the planet. Come reminisce, share memories, and engage in great local history. Free and open to the public.

Personal Histories of the Struggle for Civil Rights
Local Civil Rights leaders share their courageous experiences in recalling 1960s voting registration drives in the South, job discrimination, and the fight for Fair Housing in Rhode Island.
