Eco-Exploration Field Trip
The Learning Landscape environmental education program invites elementary school groups to book an Eco-Exploration Field Trip to the Roger Williams Park Botanical Center during the fall and winter, or the URI Kingston Botanical Garden in the spring, for a hands-on environmental education experience.
Students use all of their senses to explore the plants and wildlife that inhabit southern New England. Topics such as ecosystems and adaptations, seed diversity, native mammals and birds worms and decomposers, energy and more are presented in a fun and age-appropriate format. Students bring their experiences back to the classroom with seeds planted in a recycled pot and their own nature journals.

School Vacation Programs
Wish you could take the kids somewhere tropical this school vacation? Now you can! Join us for the Learning Landscape Program at the Roger Williams Park Botanical Center, open to the public during February and April School Vacation weeks.

LEARNING LANDSCAPE KID'S DAYS
Join us next year!
Kids have the chance to feel a coyote's fur, learn about red wiggler worm composting and even feed a venus fly trap during these specially guided field trips. Each child will plant seeds in their own greenhouse, take them home and watch them grow!
Location: Roger Williams Park Botanical Center, Providence
When: The program runs from 10am-12:15pm each day.
Who can participate: Open to children 5-12 years old accompanied by their adult chaperones.
Cost: $5.00 per person
Available by advance reservation only
