It is an honor and privilege for me to represent the great City of Providence, as the Chief of the Fire Department. We truly have a dedicated force of Officers and Fire Fighters that proudly serve our department. On a daily basis, our Fire Fighters make a positive impact in the quality of life of the people who live, work and visit the City of Providence.

The Mission of the Providence Fire Department is the protection of human life and property from fire or other disaster; the prevention, suppression and investigation of fires; the provision of emergency medical services; and the removal of all persons from danger, whatever the cause.

The Providence Fire Department diligently endeavors to mitigate each emergency challenge we are confronted with. We hold true the charge and challenge of protecting life and property, as our highest priority.

My mission as Chief is to strategically develop new ideas that our future leaders will need to meet the projected requirements of the Department. We continue to enhance our strategic capacity to meet those needs in new and innovative ways. I will strive to maintain a position of leadership within the fire and emergency service agencies and organizations, both regionally and nationally, to improve my knowledge and skills. It is with steadfast dedication and determination that I continue to seek to improve methods to better protect the People of Providence.
