Williams' Family Cemetery Tour

Join Richard Siembab, Museum docent & longtime member of the Association of Gravestone Studies for an interpretive tour of this historic cemetery in Roger Williams Park. Betsey Williams, a direct descendant of our state's founder, Roger Williams, gave her farmstead to Providence in 1871. Her land became the nucleus of Roger Williams Park. Visit Betsey's grave and many others in this popular program.
Glass Lantern Slides: The Projected Image

This enlightening new program will focus on the importance of glass lantern slides in educational settings. Museum docent Claire Kelly will guide us through the photographic process used to create these images and will present a lantern slide show from the Museum's historic image collection. Saturday, November 9th (Time offered to be decided; offered in archives.)
Program Fee per Session:
$3.00 per adult, if you sign up for two or more programs you receive a reduced fee of $2.00 per program.
Program is Free for Museum Members.
