The Museum of Natural History serves thousands of families, adults and schoolchildren each year with its unique exhibits, planetarium shows, and educational programming. Available Volunteering opportunities:
- Weekend Exhibit Docent/Museum Assistant Volunteer: Docents facilitate the visitor's understanding and enjoyment of the Museum's collections and special exhibitions. Docents are vital to the Museum's programs and growth. They act as ambassadors for the Museum. Docents also assist the Museum and its staff as needed. Background/coursework in natural or social sciences and background check required.
Training Program:
A one-day training program is offered three times a year. Volunteers must complete this training session and commit to 40 hours of service during the year. Training Schedule: Offered throughout the year.

Requirements:
Must be Museum Members
Volunteers must submit/have a background check.
Volunteers must attend a volunteer training session.
Volunteers must commit to 40 hours of work over an agreed upon period of time.
Volunteers must follow the policies and procedures of the Museum.
