The Department of Planning & Development is working with a consultant team to prepare a plan for the future of the Thayer Street corridor, identified as the area bounded by Lloyd Avenue, Hope Street, Waterman Street and the rear lot line of the parcels that face the western side of Thayer Street.
The planning study will focus on the following key issues:
- Treatment of the built environment
- Streetscape improvements
- Retail offerings
- Quality of life
- Transit infrastructure
- Parking
- Management and operations
- Safety
The final plan will include an urban design concept and development guidelines, marketing strategies, streetscape design guidelines, land use and zoning recommendations, and circulation and parking recommendations for the Study Area.
