The Providence Police Department conducted the "Click it or Ticket" campaign from May 20 through June 1 in all areas of the City both day and night. Providence Police issued 261 seatbelt violations, 19 child safety seat violations, 21 moving violations and made 7 arrests.
"Police were happy to observe an increase in seatbelt usage citywide," said Sergeant Paul Zienowicz, commanding officer of the Traffic Bureau.
