Active Bid/Proposals

Each offer shall be in accordance with specifications and instructions contained therein. Each offer shall be submitted in duplicate, unless otherwise noted, and in a sealed envelope plainly marked on the exterior with the bid number and bid name. The City of Providence shall receive each proposal/bid either by mail, (no proposals/bids will be accepted via e-mail or FAX, unless otherwise noted) or in person in the Purchasing Department no later than the time and date indicated.

Late proposals/bids will not be considered. Questions may be directed to the Purchasing Department at (401) 421-7740 ext. 264 or by email (preferred) at pjordan@providenceri.com.

Vendor/Bidder Registration:

Vendors/Bidders must register using the provided online information. All previously registered vendors are required to verify their information. Please proceed to Vendor registration page.

Online Vendor Registration:

It has become necessary to automate our bidder/proposal process. This automation effort is to better serve the increasing volume of bids and to get packages into the hands of prospective bidders more quickly. The City of Providence's Purchasing Department now has a Bidder Registration area.

Only ACTIVE vendors will have the ability to download and print bid packages. There will no longer be a direct mail vendor list as in the past. You must obtain the packages via the web site.
