

Wednesday marked the 10th anniversary of the opening of the Providence Public Safety Complex on 325 Washington Street.
"For the past decade, the Public Safety Complex has served as a base of operations for our men and women in uniform, as well as a community gathering place and information hub for our citizens," said Public Safety Commissioner Steven M. Paré. "We look forward to another great ten years."
"The ten year anniversary of the opening of the Public Safety Complex reminds us of the important work our police officers and firefighters do to keep Providence safe." said Mayor Angel Taveras. "Providence is grateful for all they do to serve and protect our capital city."
The Providence Public Safety Complex on Washington Street opened on April 11, 2002. It houses the main headquarters of the Providence Police Department and the Providence Fire Department, as well as the Providence Municipal Court.
