The ProvidenceRI transportation web site provides a great deal of information and many links for discounted transportation options for seniors and the disabled, including R.I.P.T.A. busses, trolleys, AMTRAK, M.B.T.A. (Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority), Greyhound and Bonanza.

Americans With Disabilities Act Transit Program
The RIDE Program

RIDE provides door-to-door transportation to people over age 60 and people with disabilities under age 60. Transportation is generally available during weekdays for medical appointments, adult day care, and meal site lunches. Participants must register with RIDE at least two to three weeks in advance of the first use. Register by sending a copy of your Medical Assistance or SSI award letter along with Name, Address, Phone, Date of Birth and Name and Phone Number of an emergency contact to:

Once you have your pass, call RIDE at least two weeks before your appointment at 461-9760
