With Johnson and Wales University, a premier culinary institution, providing the backbone of this city's food culture, there is push to bring food culture and food production into the foreground of Providence's sustainable future.

  • Food Day is a national event to bring people together to push for healthy, affordable food produced in a sustainable and humane way.

  • For those City Employees who enroll, the Veggie Day program delivers fresh produce directly to City Hall from local farms each week - increasing the convenience of buying well priced and healthy options for employees and their families.
